TechnoBuddy includes presets for Techno (120-170 BPM), House (110-135 BPM), DnB (155-190 BPM), and Ambient (55-115 BPM). Each preset optimizes the detection range.
Booth Mode switches the display to a red low-light color scheme, designed for dark DJ booths. It's easier on the eyes and won't distract you or your audience.
Tap the large tap zone area in rhythm with the beat. TechnoBuddy calculates BPM from your tap intervals. This works alongside or independently of automatic detection.
No. Audio is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. Nothing is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting
BPM not detecting
Make sure microphone access is granted in iOS Settings. Move closer to the audio source and ensure the correct genre preset is selected.
BPM reading is doubled or halved
This can happen with certain rhythmic patterns. Try switching to a different genre preset that matches your music, as each preset has a tuned detection range.
Spectrum not showing
Verify that the app has microphone permission and that audio is playing. The spectrum visualizer requires an active audio signal to display.
